Prayer is one of the most meaningful ways you can support Wesley.
Wesley Camp & Retreat Center is more than a place. It’s a ministry. And ministry is sustained not only by work and resources, but by prayer.
When you pray for Wesley, you are helping prepare hearts, strengthen leaders, protect campers and guests, and make room for God to move in powerful, quiet, life-changing ways. If you’ve ever wondered how you can support camp even if you can’t give financially or volunteer in person, prayer is a beautiful place to start.
What to Pray for
Pray for campers and retreat guests
Pray that every person who comes to Wesley feels safe, welcomed, and known. Pray for growth in faith, courage, and joy, and for friendships that carry beyond camp.
Pray for summer staff and year-round team
Pray for energy, unity, wisdom, and protection. Pray that staff feel supported, equipped, and encouraged as they serve.
Pray for safety and well-being
Pray for physical safety across the property, for safe travel to and from camp, and for good health for campers, guests, and staff.
Pray for families and churches
Pray for families who are making decisions about camp, and for churches and leaders who bring groups to Wesley. Pray that Wesley continues to be a trusted place for faith formation and rest.
Pray for the ministry and the future
Pray for clear direction, strong leadership, and the resources needed to care well for the property and expand the impact of Wesley’s mission.
Other Ways to Support Wesley
Share Wesley with someone you love
A personal invitation goes a long way. Tell a friend about Wesley. Invite a family to consider camp. Share a retreat link with your small group. Word-of-mouth is one of the strongest ways camp grows.
Follow along and stay connected
When you stay in touch, you help strengthen our community. Subscribe to receive updates, follow on social media, and celebrate stories as they happen. Your encouragement helps more than you may realize.
Be an ambassador for camp
If Wesley has played a meaningful role in your life, consider being someone who helps keep that story alive. Share a favorite memory, send a note of encouragement, or help connect us with a church, school, or community group that might benefit from camp.
Encourage our staff
A short message, a prayer note, or a simple “we’re cheering for you” can make a big difference—especially during the busy seasons. Encouragement fuels ministry.
Come as a guest
Supporting camp can also mean showing up. Attend a retreat. Bring your group. Return for an event. Every visit helps Wesley continue to be a place of welcome and renewal.
